Pupil Premium Funding

Pupil premium statement of intent

It is our aim for children eligible for Pupil Premium funding at Bledlow Ridge School to reach the at least the same level of attainment as their peers. We realise this may mean these children need to make accelerated progress and will use the pupil premium finding to support pupils in overcoming a range of barriers that may be identified in school that may hinder this accelerated progress.

Pupil Premium Funding 2021-22 (£4,155)
  • To narrow attainment gap through additional 1:1 tutoring
  • To fund pastoral/mental health intervention should the need arise
  • To provide financial support to enable children to access extra curricular clubs and trips
Pupil Premium planned spend 2022-23 (£6,155)
  • Provide 1:1 intervention for PP pupils in specific subject areas identified to close the gap in their attainment to their peers - recommendation from EEF research into effective catch up
  • Fund extra-curricular club attendance where necessary
  • Fund or subsidise school trip attendance where necessary
  • Fund pastoral interventions as and when needed
A Pupil Premium Strategy, using the DFE's template, outlining specific targeted support, has been completed and is regularly reviewed.

Pupil progress meetings will take place termly and the attainment and progress of PP pupils will be discussed, as well as any pastoral concerns.  This will enable the school to measure the effect of the pupil premium and review/adapt provision if needed.

Details of our spending of the Covid Catch Up Premium can be found in the document below.
